Two Individuals Accused Regarding Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Incident
Two men have been charged related to a suitcase robbery where a suspected pepper spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two robbery charges and two counts of using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.
The charges follow an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their suitcases taken after getting out of a car park lift, according to law enforcement.
A young child was one of the people hurt in the event. Five people required hospital care and were subsequently released.
The incident – described by police as was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
